While Chomper and I walk and hike all the time (and love it), Oli will only just beginning his journeys into the outdoors of Wisconsin! He is still too young to go long or to too many places, as he hasn't finished his puppy shots, but I have taken him on two short outings, where I know it isn't too dog crazy, and especially at this time. The walking trail near my house, which also has the wood trails where I take Chomper hiking, and to the frozen ice that is Lake Superior! Though, things are warming up again now, for the moment, so might not do that again just yet, ha! Oli seemed to enjoy himself romping around catching leaves and chasing Chomper! Chomper just wants you to find something for him to fetch, for the most part, or to run around and be startled by birds flying ahead. He has a good time though!

These pictures aren't too exciting, as when they were taken, it's been some quite cold of days - so we didn't stay out too long! Just enough to get out of the house for a while!

Introduction to Chomper

Chomper is the first member of my personal dogs! He is a now, 9 month old, Miniature Australian Shepherd I purchased from a breeder. He has been such a wonderful, yet annoying, dog!

He has been such an enjoyable and fun dog to have. As a young puppy he was easy to potty train, usually only needing to go out once a night, which he would alert you too, and then be good to go back to sleep until 9am. He has had an easy recall, just about taking to it on his own. Which is awesome to me, as I've never had a dog who can go off leash and be good to come back up until him. So, we have a lot of off leash hikes and swims when the weather lets us! Excited to watch him enjoy the beach this coming summer. We currently have a lot of plans as far as activites and training we are working on, including; trick dog titles, agility, flyball, therapy dog, service dog (ID) and overall of course just an all around companion. Which, if you ask me, so far he is, but sometimes he could maybe use a couple minor tweeks!
